YOUR LIFE AS A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR
As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you play an essential role in business development and company growth. You are primarily responsible for preconstruction services for both negotiated and bid projects within our core markets: healthcare, commercial, industrial, and multi-family. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come into play as you interact regularly with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors. You prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade-specific scopes of work, and comprehensive bid packages. You also qualify supplier/subcontractor bid proposals and negotiate subcontracts. To obtain bids, you manage drawing distribution to prospective suppliers/subcontractors.
You see projects through from the first estimate to subcontracts being formalized. You lay the foundation for the success of our projects! Through each stage of design, you prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates. Your attention to detail as you review construction project plans, requirements, drawings, and specifications allows you to construct accurate estimates.
